PHOTOGRAPHS

I thought you might want to see some of the photographs of artifacts and the excavation. This is one of several bottles found during the excavation.

Here is a photograph of one of several brass Jesuit rings that was found and this ring was found during the screening process.

Found in the bottom of the hull of the ship, towards the end of the excavation, were the two remaining bronze cannons that the Spanish did not find after they found the wrecked ship that the French had abandoned.

Found in the bow of the boat during the excavation, and on Halloween no less, was the skeleton for the person nicknamed Dead Bob. He is buried in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin. It was found on top of the coil of large rope and small flask made out of oak staves that was held together by willow stripping.

This is the screening of artifacts, regarding buckets containing materials that were removed from each quadrant that was being excavated from the ship.

Sometimes the weather got rough, especially on top of the cofferdam.

This is another photograph taken of the screening process.

Please keep check back to and please send any suggestions for the La Salle section.
